Time ever flowing onwards
Cannot be stopped by man.
If only it could be paused
And this moment last forever.
Racing winds of fickle streams,
Outrunning Fate herself.
Calm breezes blow across my face.
Remembering your touch
As the fingers of the air so light
Caress lovingly as eyes close,
Falling deeply into the slumber.
To understand the ache of blood,
One must undergo the pain:
Unfaithfulness and broken trust,
False promises masked by a pearl
Of truth, but only halfway there.
The sacred oath violated by sinful man.
Yet still the heart pleads with reason
To give another chance for change.
